Dear Dr. Merck, I'd like to have the operation on both ears with your stitch method, but my trouble is that I'm Italian, I live in Italy and, if I'd decide to come to Konstanz (or Mallorca), I'd have some trouble in speaking.. (I speak only Italian). Have you already solved similar problems in the past ?
I'm worried because the presence of an interpreter would be more "impersonal " and embarassing, don't you think?
I'd like you to possibly advise me on the appropriate solution,

Dear Elmer,
I'm sorry, but I can't speak Italian. I only speak English, Spanish and obviously German. But it's no problem, because we know an Italian woman who lives in Konstanz. She can do the translation during the consultation for patients and for all the questions you have. There's nothing embarrassing about this.
